The beginning of a new school year is a moment filled with possibility — fresh books, new uniforms, sharpened pencils, and the excitement of learning ahead. But for many children, especially those living in care facilities, the cost of school supplies can be overwhelming. This year, the Yogam Yoga Seva Network stepped forward once again to ensure that no child began the year unprepared.
Through the generosity of our members, we made a large donation of school equipment to St Martin’s Children’s Home, giving every child the tools they needed to start the year with confidence, dignity, and joy.
A Gift of Opportunity
The children at St Martin’s attend various schools across the City of Durban, and each one requires stationery, books, and essential learning materials. Thanks to the kindness of our Yogam Yoga community, these children received everything they needed — not just supplies, but the reassurance that they are supported, valued, and remembered.
For children who often face uncertainty, this donation was more than a practical gift. It was a message of hope.
A Community That Always Shows Up
One of the most beautiful things about the Yogam Yoga Seva Network is the way our members respond whenever there is a need. Without hesitation, donations poured in — pens, pencils, books, rulers, crayons, files, and all the essentials that make learning possible.
Every contribution, big or small, became part of a larger act of love.
We are truly thrilled that, year after year, we are able to step forward and uplift children who deserve every opportunity to thrive.
Empowering Children Through Education
Education is one of the most powerful tools we can offer a child. By ensuring that the learners at St Martin’s Children’s Home started the year fully equipped, we helped:
- Boost their confidence
- Reduce anxiety about fitting in
- Support their academic success
- Show them that their community cares
These are the small but meaningful steps that shape a child’s future.
Gratitude to Our Yogam Yoga Family
To every member who donated school equipment, funds, or support — thank you. Your generosity made a real difference in the lives of children who need it most.
Your kindness ensured that they walked into their classrooms feeling prepared, proud, and ready to learn.
This is what seva looks like. This is what community feels like. This is Yogam Yoga — always ready to help where there is a need.
